a person in this role is responsible to support ibm internal and external requirements for hardware, software and services by selecting core and/or leveraged suppliers that provide optimal cost, quality and delivery.work with internal clients and suppliers to draft measurable statements of work, addenda and transaction documents. where model agreements require modification, determine whether approved alternate clauses are available. evaluate and provide team analysis.
perform supplier analysis undesrtand business analysis reports such as dun and bradstreet (d&b).
apply policies/practices/legal principles understand and apply appropriate ibm and procurement procedures and guidelines. articulate and combine both internal/external perspectives of the customer\'s compeittive position. articulate and mitigate risks, evaluate.demontsrate understanding of implications of international deals, import/export regulations, including taxes. prepare for and reach agreement between or among parties including multiple ibm functions, business partners, client line of business and it executives, competitors and other diverse team members.
analyze supplier cost structure understand the cost elements in supplier prcies.
perform industry & competitive analysis understand variety of analytical approaches to determine how well positioned a company is to compete in the marketplace.
perform negotiations abiilty to create win/win situations through flexibility and making trade-offs. benchmark unique supplier cotss/prices and/or associated royalties.manage key milestones at local level.create unique agreements with the appropriate legal review when business requirements fall outside the scope of the existing model agreements. ensure ibm\'s interests are protected with representations, and indemnification terms, warranties.
